Business Change Manager - University Of Salford

Overview: Join our dynamic Digital Delivery team responsible for driving successful business change aligned with the University Strategy and digital vision. As a Business Change Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing change activities, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and realizing maximum business benefit. Your expertise in communication, engagement, and change management will be essential in influencing stakeholders at various levels and contributing to the University's overall change management capability.


  • Develop and maintain an effective communication and engagement strategy for project team members, stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
  • Build and nurture relationships vital to project success, working closely with stakeholders at all levels to provide proactive, high-level support.
  • Own and drive the Case for Change, creating a clear narrative to foster understanding and adoption across the University.
  • Support business teams during the implementation period, monitoring change effectiveness, and addressing issues for resolution.
  • Produce Change Readiness Reports for senior stakeholders, key governance meetings, and project status updates.
  • Collaborate with business teams to ensure relevant materials, such as user guides, are in place before changes are delivered.
  • Develop a change adoption plan to ensure continued focus post-project and contribute to defining the Target Operating Model.

Background & Experience:

  • Experience managing and driving change across large teams in a customer-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in using data and project methodology to drive change and enhancements.
  • Experience landing change within large, complex, and matrix-managed environments.
  • Ability to inspire, empower, and motivate staff, achieving results through others.
  • Significant change management experience in a fast-changing environment with a diverse customer base.
