Job DescriptionBusiness Analyst - LondonHybrid working: 2 days in officeSalary: £38,000 - £42,0006 month - 12 month FTCThe CompanyThe client are a public body established to accelerate public sector investment in low carbon technologies. They are publicly funded by BEIS, DfE, and the Welsh and Scottish Governments and work with public sector bodies throughout the UK, helping them make progress towards achieving their carbon reduction targets.They do this by offering grants and interest free loans for low carbon and energy efficiency projects. Working with our client, you will learn about low carbon technologies and their application in the built environment, financing of capital projects, government policy and client relationship management.Job PurposeAs a Business Analyst in the Information Systems Team, you will be responsible for providing continuous support to all areas of the business, ensure reporting requirements are met and on-going improvements to processes and systems are identified and implemented.Key dutiesGather and document business requirements for both new and existing systems, processes and reports, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency:Offer recommendations and solutions for improvements using best practice methodologies and techniques.Work alongside internal and external stakeholders on projects and system implementations, as project and/or client delivery lead when required:Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.Document system processes and create user guides as required.Deliver training to end-users on new systems/system improvements.Work with and support all functions of the organisation in the planning, launch and delivery of funding programmesEnsure systems meet requirements of new programmes.In collaboration with the Reporting and Data Analyst, build functional specifications to create reports and track progress of funding programmes, providing insights to delivery teams and managers.Manage in-house systems and databases e.g. CRM, SERS, ensuring any issues are promptly identified and resolved. Manage security, authorisations and other key administrator tasks.Supervise and support the developmentPerson SpecificationDegree or equivalent professionally relevant qualificationBusiness Analysis or Project Management foundation levelMinimum 3-4 years relevant work experience of working in a systems or data driven roleExcellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office applications with a focus on Microsoft Excel. Database/SQL experience preferableExperience of leading, delivering and/or implementing projects within an organisationExperience of leading and managing a teamKnowledge of reporting software, such as Power BI and Power Query, database query tools such as SharperLight and Infor Q&A, financial reporting systems and CRM systems
