Business Analyst/Tech BA (London)

As a Business Analyst/ Consultant you will have the opportunity to collaborate with clients across a range of engagements. You will be expected to understand the key industry drivers including regulatory change and the evolving market structure and be able to articulate how these changes are impacting market participants.

Responsibilities
Involvement in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure
Working on business transformation projects or IT change projects
Building and developing business cases
Gathering and analysing requirements
Owning and delivering business and functional requirements
Presenting/Communicating insights and findings to client stakeholders
Managing stakeholders on different levels and in various business areas
Skills & Experience
Capital Markets industry
Proven experience in business and functional requirements gathering
Excellent data-handling skills
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, with experience in testing
Familiarity with the front-to-back processing required in Capital Markets businesses
Practical, technical experience in helping developers to produce a quality product
Industry knowledge
Experience in at least one of the following areas:
Primary and Secondary Markets
Asset Classes (Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Futures & Options,
Fixed Income, Bonds, Swaps)
Front Office, Middle Office
Pre-Trade Management, Pre-Trade Analytics, Pre-Trade Risk Controls
Post-Trade Management
Operational Risk, Credit/Counterparty Risk, Market Risk
Client Connectivity, Venue/Exchange Connectivity
High Frequency Trading
Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), Risk Management Systems, Back Office Systems, Settlement Systems
Fidessa, ION, ULLink, Calypso, Murex, FIX, Itivity
Qualifications
Minimum bachelor degree or equivalent
BCS Business Analysis or comparable (nice-to-have)
Prince2 or comparable project management methodology experience (nice-to-have)
