Business Analyst – Member Success | Circa £40,000 negotiable + excellent benefits | Permanent | Hybrid

This new role in the Member Success team will build strong relationships across all Insurer members and identify areas of opportunity to enhance the value from their membership with Thatcham Research. You’ll collaborate with members across various business areas, including Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims, to ensure their engagement and input are harnessed effectively for the fulfilment of project goals.
To make this role a success, you’ll bring experience and knowledge of the insurance industry with the ability to understand business structures and practices, and drive improvements. You’ll have the ability to work autonomously and draw upon your business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, process analysis and stakeholder management.
Your mission
Understand and map existing business processes followed by member organisations to identify areas for improvement.
Critically review and evaluate any proposed solutions, making recommendations and ensuring awareness of technical and operational limitations.
Work confidently and independently to build relationships across the business and with all levels of member organisations, understanding issues and spotting opportunities.
Facilitate workshops, focus groups, planning groups and other related meetings with key Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to understand problems, goals and opportunities.
Design innovative solutions to potential problems identified during the research phase.
Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organisational perspective, and document findings.
Collect data, compile intricate reports, and present them to both internal and external leadership including a thorough assessment of risks and impacts.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
Experience: 2-3 years’ relevant job experience working on either internal business improvement projects or in a consulting role, preferably in the insurance market.
Foundational Knowledge: experience of business analysis concepts, methodologies, and techniques.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: experience gathering and documenting business requirements, via interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Data Analysis: ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw insights to aid decision-making.
Process Mapping: ability to map out business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Management: confident engaging and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Project Management: an understanding of project management lifecycle with the ability to create project plans and track progress
Analytical Skills:analytical skills to dissect problems, gather and evaluate data, and generate insights

When we work
Our standard working hours are8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 8:30 - 15:45 Fridays. (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you!)
How we work
Ourblended working approach means you’ll spend time working from our office in Thatcham, Berkshire and from home should you wish to. Regular travel within the UK will be required to visit our Members, to build and maintain solid relationships.
