Job Description
Overview : My Insurance client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their project team in Leeds. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the upgrade of our policy administration systems, ensuring these enhancements meet the current and future needs of our business. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in the insurance sector and a track record of delivering system improvements efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and document business processes and system requirements for system upgrades.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into technical specifications.
Lead the planning and implementation of system upgrades, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Monitor project progress, resolving any issues that arise and ensuring timely completion of milestones.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver reports on project status to senior management.
Conduct testing and validation of the new system functionalities with the help of the QA team.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance industry, specifically dealing with policy administration systems.
Proven experience in managing system upgrades or implementations in a similar environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience in stakeholder management, capable of influencing others and managing expectations.
Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
Desirable :
Qualification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).
Experience in agile project environments.
Contract Details:
This is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months.
The role is hybrid, requiring the candidate to be in the Leeds office 1-2 days per week, with flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.
Competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience.
