Role: Business Analyst - ContractorObjective of the role:We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Business Analyst to join our consulting team. You will play a pivotal role in driving customer business efficiency and innovation, working with clients across our key sectors to understand and analyse business processes opportunities that will streamline operations and enhance productivity. You will be responsible for contributing to the successful execution of projects from initiation to completion including defining project objectives, creating project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.Responsibilities of the role:Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, documenting requirements, and analysing business processes to identify areas for improvement.Data Analysis: Collecting, organising, and analysing data from process discovery, stakeholder sessions and tender responses, and other discovery tools, to uncover insights and trends that can inform business decisions and strategy execution.Process Mapping and Optimisation: Mapping out existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and proposing optimised workflows to support operational efficiency and automation design and build.Solution Design and Documentation: Working with internal and external stakeholders to design and document target technology solutions that address business requirements.Stakeholder Management: Engaging with stakeholders, including clients, users, and project teams, to understand their perspectives, gather feedback, and ensure alignment between business needs and solution delivery.Project Management: Collaborating with project teams to define project scope, objectives, and timelines, and actively monitoring project progress to ensure successful delivery within agreed-upon constraints.Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among different teams and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone has a shared understanding of business requirements and project goals.Domain Knowledge and Industry Research: Keeping up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices and applying that knowledge to drive innovation and value creation.Experience & Background:Awareness and understanding of key business technologies, such as CRM (customer Relationship Management), SIS (Student Information Systems), CMS (Content Management Systems), HR/Finance ERP (Enterprise Revolution Systems) and robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), with an understanding of their capabilities and applications.Knowledge of key business technologies, including their functionalities, integration capabilities, and best practices for configuration and customisation.Experience in identifying, modelling and analysing business processes to identify operational efficiencies and productivity.Strong data analysis skills to gather, interpret, and leverage data insights to drive informed decision-making.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, senior leaders and client customers to ensure the successful implementation of intelligent automation projects.Understanding of project management methodologies and practices, including defining project objectives, creating project plans, managing resources, and mitigating risks.Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify complex business problems, evaluate potential solutions, and make informed recommendations that align with organizational goals and objectives.Role location:Equantiis supports hybrid working from the UK.
