Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Duration: 12 monthFTCLocation: GloucesterJob Ref:202466About the role Benefact Group, are looking for a Business Analystto join our Gloucesteroffice.The Group Technology Team delivers technology solutions via new and existing technologies to meet business needs. Our work is either Portfolio Change via the Group Transformation Team who perform the initial viability assessment & agree funding, Continual Improvement for ongoing enhancements to live business products, or Technology only change e.g. upgrades and refreshes.The Group Technology Business Analysis function works with the Group Transformation team as part of the foundation stage of projects, internal technology development teams, external delivery partners and extensively with business owners and business SMEs. While this is a Technology role, strong engagement is required with both technology and business stakeholders. The Group is on a journey to transition to Agile practices with different flavours of Agile in use for different technologies, in addition there are still some waterfall-based areas so while this role is for an Agile Business Analyst i.e. working in an Agile Scrum environment, there may be some work items where waterfall or hybrid methods are required.The role holder will take responsibility for a large breadth of analysis activities on a change throughout the lifecycle as per the required role for that piece of work. The role will engage closely with the Product Owner, business owners and SMEs to achieve good business outcomes for change.Key responsibilities
A key member of the Project/Scrum Team culminating in the production of well defined, well understood, high quality, unambiguous and consistent Requirements/User Stories Plan, prioritise and manage individual workflow effectively to deliver exceptional service Proactively build successful internal and external relationships to support excellence in delivery Maintains links with appropriate counterparts within business functions and plays a full part in bringing solutions to implementation Take ownership and an approach of continuous improvement to your own skills, knowledge, and personal development Participate in continuous improvement reviews Identify and lead opportunities to improve current methods, practices, and processes
Knowledge, skills and experience
Demonstrable Business Analysis experience in a variety of change delivery environments Financial Service experience (preferably Insurance) Good standard of educational achievement to A level Excellent organisational and problem solving capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels A clear appreciation of the need for exceptional standards of delivery and evidence of a strong commitment to delivering improved standards An understanding of the principles and benefits of Agile
Experience of working as a Business Analysts in a Scrum team (preferential) Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite of products, Jira, Confluence (preferential)
