Building Surveyor

I am looking for a Building Surveyor to join a Local Authority in the Shropshire area. The Building Surveyor will be responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance programmes and direct management of a junior surveyor. This is a 12 month FTC with the opportunity for a permanent position.

Building Surveyor duties:

Carry out surveys in line with the planned maintenance programmes
Take responsibility for all aspects of planning and delivery of programmes.
Prepare cost schedules and programmes of works
Oversee the development of an apprentice or junior surveyor
What is required for the Building Surveyor role:

Experience managing a team or junior members of staff
Ability to prepare contract documentation
Experience carrying out all planned maintenance surveys
Experience delivering large projects to time and budget
HNC or equivalent
Experience working within a social housing setting
