Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor - on going contract in Bedford - EXCELLENT JOB OPPORTUNITY!

• �400 to �600 per day (gross)
• Monday to Friday (Days)
• The Job is based in Bedford.
• On going contract
• Immediate start for the right applicant

Main Duties:

• To assist the Building Control Manager in running the Building Control section.
• To check applications & work on site and carry out enforcement action where necessary.
• To check demolition notices, dangerous structures, initial notices & unauthorised works.
• To maintain accurate written records. Input/extracting data from the departments IT system as required.
• Liaise &/or consult with external agencies, stakeholders, statutory undertakers, the public, contractors, professional persons, elected members & internal departments.
• To provide technical advice on all matters relating to the Building Control function & associated legislation.

Requirements:

• Must be a full member of the RICS, CABE, or equivalent & have considerable recent experience working as an operational Building Control Inspector within a Building Control Unit.
• Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of building control regulations & understanding of building operations on all types of buildings within your level of registration.
• Must have a good practical demonstrable understanding of statutory enforcement powers. Address highly complex issues, which require solutions, which will stand the test of time.
• Hold a full current valid driving licence.

�400 to �600 per day (gross) - Monday to Friday - on going contract - superb working environment.
