Job Title: Building Surveyor



Location: Durham



Salary: �50,000 - �60,000 per annum

Role and Responsibilities:



As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our team, undertaking a range of responsibilities to support our clients. These will include:



- Site visits and inspections to assess building conditions



- Quinquennial inspections to evaluate the condition of buildings



- Report writing to provide detailed findings and recommendations



- Preparation of schedules of repairs to guide renovation work



- Planning, listed building, and building regulation applications



- Tender package preparation to facilitate project procurement



- Attendance at meetings to liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities



- Supervision of works to ensure compliance with specifications and standards



- Providing technical advice and expertise to clients on a range of construction-related matters



Requirements:



- BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying



- MRICS accreditation (or willingness to work towards it)



- Proven work experience as a Building Surveyor



- Excellent knowledge of building construction and Health & Safety regulations



- Strong report writing skills and attention to detail



- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously



- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
