About the Role
We now have a new opportunity for a Building Projects Administrator to work with technical and scientific staff and other project stakeholders, to support the Project Managers in the Diamond Building Projects Team in delivering a variety of capital and upgrade projects on the Harwell Campus.
You will support the Teams design and construction management and provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure that the team and its systems operate efficiently and effectively.
You will contribute to design and progress meetings and be able to provide meeting records and manage the Installation and Facilities Management Teams online works request system and technical library.
Further responsibilities will include:
Maintaining an organised and up-to-date system for project documentation
Assist in the preparation of Briefing Documents
Working with Diamond Procurement to assist with preparing project tenders for contractor selection.
Arranging meetings, preparing and distributing agendas, notes and minutes, and following up actions.
About You
You will be an experienced Administrator, ideally with experience of running cost control spreadsheets and with an understanding of budgets and project management. You should have experience in document control and Microsoft Office products including Project.
You will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a small team and build strong working relationships at all levels.
With a focus on accuracy and completeness, you must be detail-oriented, highly organised and self-motivated with good time management skills and a proactive attitude to anticipating and solving problems.
To support the Building Projects Team, you will need to work on your own initiative, support internal processes and project work, and be flexible in quickly adapting to changing priorities to meet workload and timescales.
You will be educated to A level standard or equivalent, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience.
