You will have the opportunity to shine and make a significant contribution to Coventry’s growth and success.You will represent the service at a senior management level, provide expert advice and help shape the future and strategic direction of the team whilst also getting involved in complex and high-profile projects. Who are we looking for?Up for the challenge and the opportunity to impress and progress your career? If so, then come and join us if you are ready to take on new challenges and elevate our team with your unique expertise and dedication!We're seeking a forward-thinking leader who values diversity as a core strength, creating an environment where every voice is heard and respected.You will need to have your competence validated by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) through Building Safety Competence Foundation (BSCF), the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) or Total Training and be qualified to work on any Class 2 building.You must have substantial experience working in Building Control, including dealing with complex and high-risk projects. Experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring staff is desirable.You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload. You will also need to have a valid driving licence as you will be required to travel to various sites across the city. When applying, you will need to upload evidence that you hold the relevant professional qualification to undertake the role.Due to the specialist nature of this role, we will aim to process applications within 48 hours of receipt.Successful candidates will be invited to attend a two-stage selection process, involving firstly, a telephone interview with Kate Rich, Building Control Manager, to gauge experience.
