Role overview:
As an Building & Civils Supervisor at EMCOR UK, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering a service within our large scale account for AWE.
You will be responsible for providing and delivering a
professional and efficient service to the project management team on the contract, in the delivery of new work tasks in line with contract service level agreements and key performance indicators. M
onitor the progress of projects and minor works to an agreed time and standard of delivery, ensuring works are completed to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities.
What you’ll do:
Deliver projects and minor works through effective communication, ensuring that the staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake key tasks linked to service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Manage the preparation and submission for approval, all appropriate Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessment.
Provide regular project updates to EMCOR management team and the client.
Support the Project Manager, providing information necessary to establish financial completion of accounts.
Identify and implement operational improvements to ensure continued provision of high quality service.
Attend meetings as required.
Assist in other ad hoc functions within skills level, training and experience on an as instructed basis.
Co-ordinate labour, plant and materials necessary to complete the task safe and in a timely fashion.
Supervise, co-ordinate and/or manage Specialist Sub-Contractors as required.
Provide CDM Management.
Provide site control to include access/egress welfare, etc.
Person Specification
Who you’ll be:
To have a minimum engineering qualification of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
Good knowledge of management disciplines in Building and Civil Works
Experience in a supervisory environment with Building and Civil Works as a component responsibility
Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation and management
Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
