Do you have prior experience supporting people with Hearing Impairment?
Are you proficient in British Sign Language?

*Our client is ideally looking for someone with BSL Level 2 or above but would also consider people fluent in BSL without formal qualification.

This BSL Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP, full time, supporting Hearing Impaired pupils at a primary deaf resource bases located in Levenshulme, Manchester.

• Hours - Mon to Fri 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Pay up to £110/day depending on experience & qualification.
• Supporting primary aged children with Hearing Impairment.
• You will need to be able to translate verbal instructions from class teachers to students.

You will be required to support with understanding and comprehension as well provide pastoral, social, emotional and behavioural support. At times you may need to assist with note taking and scribing.

• An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for a new one).
• A minimum of 2 professional references.
• A CV with a full history from your education until present.
• The legal right to work in the UK.
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
• BSL proficiency.
