Lay bricks, blocks, or other masonry units accurately and according to specifications. Set up and align foundation walls, ensuring proper levels and measurements. Construct various structures, including walls, arches, columns, and chimneys, using appropriate techniques and materials. Mix mortar and prepare masonry units for installation. Install insulation and vapor barriers as needed. Ensure the stability and safety of constructed structures by adhering to building codes and best practices. Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve solid mortar joints and secure bonding of masonry units. Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor. Interpret architectural plans and blueprints to determine the layout and dimensions of structures. Calculate and measure dimensions, angles, and materials needed for construction.
