The purpose of this role is to lead the brand strategy and activation plans that drive brand awareness, consideration, and likeability.DescriptionJOB TITLE: Brand Marketing LeadDEPARTMENT: Brand & Partnership MarketingJOB FUNCTION: The purpose of this role is to lead the brand strategy and activation plans that drive brand awareness, consideration, and likeability.LOCATION: Stamford BridgePLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):Support the Head of Brand and Partnership Marketing to deliver the global brand strategy for the Club, with a focus on brand positioning and fame, whilst also driving key brand health metrics such as consideration and sentiment.Develop, manage, and execute tier 1 brand campaigns and initiatives (Men’s and Women’s), including kit launches and the Club Culture programme that spans music, fashion, art, and entertainment.Work closely with the Brand Marketing Exec to drive the brand calendar for the season, including all relevant cultural moments.Act as a brand guardian, advocating the Club’s upcoming brand refresh, and ensuring that guidelines are adhered to across the business.Manage multiple creative agencies, freelancers, and content creators, ensuring they are seen as an extension of our internal creative teams.Collaborate with the internal Performance & Comms teams to amplify campaigns and ensure we hit growth KPIs.Collaborate with the Brand Experience Team to activate in market, supporting on local events and Supporters Club activities.Pro-actively seek out partnerships and collaborations that will surprise, delight, and excite our fans, whilst also driving audience growth.Support in driving the Club’s global celebrity and creator fan programme, actively building relationships with influential profiles that allow the Club to access new audiences.Be tapped into football culture and become the go-to expert on Brand Marketing for the business, providing a wealth of knowledge and insight when it comes to not only our fans, but the wider sports industry.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all projects are planned/delivered on time, within budget and to an excellent standard. These teams include; Comms, Chelsea Studios, Digital, Partnerships, Commercial, Football Operations & Growth Marketing.Regularly update key stakeholders on brand performance, including campaign and brand tracking reporting.Constantly review the competitor landscape and provide updates to the wider teams and senior management.Manage and mentor a highly talented and motivated Brand Marketing Exec.Support sales and commercial teams across new partnership development.To demonstrate and live by the club’s values; Here to Win, Be Brave, Do the Right Thing, Play Your Part, Many Teams, One Club and Proud to Be ChelseaTo adhere to the club’s policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Financial Authorisation, Confidentiality and GDPR.To act as an ambassador for diversity, equality, and inclusion, and demonstrate a positive commitment by treating others fairly in line with our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy and reporting any acts of discrimination through appropriate channelsTo create a safe environment and act to protect all young people and vulnerable adults that are either in your care or attending club premises, and report any concerns to the Safeguarding LeadTo report any misconduct or suspected misconduct to the HR DepartmentHERE TO WIN (Measures of Performance):Chelsea FC Brand awareness, consideration, and likeability globally.Engagement across content and activations.PR reach.Fan sentiment.Revenue driven by new B2B sponsorship.PROUD TO BE CHELSEA (Person Specification):Experience:Prior brand marketing experience, preferably within Sport.Core understanding of how brands grow, including how to track brand health.Experience leading internal and external teams.Experience working with creatives; photographers, videographers, directors, DOPs, stylists, writers etc.Experience working with agencies and freelancers.Astute at working cross functionally to deliver projects.Experience working with data/insight to create strategy and plans.Skills and Behaviours:Team player – being able to work with multiple teams to achieve a collective goalExcellent communicator with high attention to detailAble to build strong relationships with key stakeholders around the ClubCreative thinker who can work through problems with a solution-based mindsetChelsea FC and the Foundation is fully committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults at risk (vulnerable groups).
