Job DescriptionBranch Manager – Hemel Hempstead - £45,000CVA is one of the leading auction houses in the UK, whilst predominantly known for being the most established HGV auctioneers in the country, they sell a wide range of assets across their regular sales programme that includes trucks & trailers, cars & vans, plant & machinery as well as holding several onsite retirement / dispersal sales each year. They are widely regarded as being at the front of industry innovation, representing a broad portfolio of clients ranging from owner operators and small businesses, though too some of Europe’s largest blue-chip companies, banks & finance houses.CVA are now looking for a Branch Manager to join their established team in Hemel Hempstead.Your Responsibilities of a Branch Manager:To communicate, lead, motivate and inspire the teamMaintain communication with all internal and intergroup departments to ensure business priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely mannerCommunicate company philosophy, policies, procedures, and expectations to the teamReview and monitor compliance, managing the team toward designated targetsOptimising profitability whilst meeting, and exceeding, the expectations of the market.Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders Assist and work effectively with CVA General Manager. Business retention from a portfolio of key account customers.Cross sell CVA’s services such as valeting, video inspections, transport, etc.It will also include active involvement in the yard duties. Responsibility to be in line with CVAs H&S policies and procedures.The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and the postholder will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by their changing role and overall business objectives in the organisation.The Ideal Branch Manager:Experience of managing and supervising work areas and the safe and efficient delivery of workKnowledge of resource and work organisation / planning processes and systemsConfident and resourceful in the face of challengesStrong knowledge of vehicle specifications and vehicle valuesOutstanding communication and organisational skillsRelevant academic qualifications or vocational skills could include: formal leadership training, continuous improvement, problem solving and relevant technical experience.The ability to work under pressure and to tight timescalesA flexible approach to working hours is required to meet the needs of the business, which are driven by the auctionsExcellent management and leadership skills BenefitsQuarterly Bonus Car AllowanceCompany pension – as per BVH L&GDeath in ServiceHealth Shield Holiday entitlement – 25 days + bank holidays
