A job opportunity has arisen, for a Bookkeeping professional to join a progressive and successful firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Grimsby. The firm are open to both part-time and full-time applicants with the salary being negotiable, dependent on your experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- The bookkeeping will include - posting wage journals, balancing control accounts, checking debtors & creditors to keep these up-to-date etc for clients and to also ensure that the data is tidy in preparation for the accounts.
- The role is to be responsible for the department to ensure that client records are received and processed in a timely manner and VAT deadlines met.
- To assist and train clients with sage & Xero support when required.
- Be responsible for raising the department’s sales invoices and issuing these to clients, including writing off the time from the ledger. This is reviewed by management prior to sending.
- Complete VAT/MTD registrations / VAT de-registrations.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Sage 50, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel preferred
- Previous bookkeeping experience is desired
