Bookkeeper

Bookkeeper required to join our client, an Accountancy Practice located in Huddersfield on a full time, permanent basis. The chosen candidate will ideally have experience working within an Accounts focused role within Practice previously.

Bookkeeper Position Overview

• Responsible for providing support to contractor clients in managing their company and personal tax affairs, ensuring compliance with regulations
• Conduct thorough reviews of client's record keeping, mainly using Freeagent, to ensure all relevant information is included
• Preparation of statutory accounts from the record keeping and ensuring balance sheet items are fully reconciled and working papers preparation
• Be able to keep up to date with changes in laws and regulations to ensure continued compliance
• Communicate effectively with clients to address any queries or concerns regarding their affairs
• Collaborate with other team members to streamline processed and improve overall efficiency
• Assist the Contractor Manager with adhoc assignments for our high wealth clients
• Preparation of VAT returns for contractor clients and also some Business Services clients. Bookkeeping undertaken using various forms of software, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks etc

Bookkeeper Position Requirements

• Previous experience working in accounts preferred
• Preferred knowledge/experience of using the Freeagent software

Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

Salary �20-�25k dependant on experience

Hours 37.5 hours per week (flexible start and finish times)

Annual leave 24 days + bank holidays
