BoM and Release Analyst required to join a forward-thinking Electric Vehicle manufacturer based in Sherburn on a permanent basis.

As a key member of the team, the BoM and Release Analyst will be responsible for creating, developing and managing all elements of the Bill of Materials (BoM) in an accurate and timely manner, whilst orchestrating the parts release and engineering change management process.

Key Duties of the BoM and Release Analyst:


  • Operate the Engineering Release system and support all programmes to raise, track and effect the engineering release process throughout all phases of a programme, reporting issues and status to programme and engineering commodity groups.
  • Operate the Change Management system using the PLM platform to create, process and implement Change Actions raised by cross-functional stakeholders throughout the programme delivery.
  • Chair Engineering Release meeting and Change Management reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the BoM Controller and be accountable for the creation and maintenance of the BoM in the PLM platform, from set-up, through prototype builds, to final production release.
  • Control new part number and revision allocation in an indented BoM structure for all programmes ensuring the BoM is accurate with regards to part specification, source and option codes, weight, and cost, and that ERP parameters are populated and aligned.
  • Accurately document Engineering Releases and Change Management actions and reflect in the BoM.
  • Support Engineering and Purchasing activities through ensuring release of drawing revisions are accurate for suppliers.
  • Support Programme, Engineering, Prototype, Manufacturing and Purchasing departments to forecast build risks and/or any Programme QCD risks identified from Engineering Release reviews.
  • Report-out Engineering Release metrics and BoM status to the programme team and wider business functions as required.
  • Contribute to continuously improve BoM management, inform and support the BoM Controller and the PLM Leader in BoM export to ERP systems.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
