Job Purpose - Product Manager for Birdbox, an integrated farm management system for laying hen farms.
FAI is looking for a Birdbox Product Manager with knowledge and experience in digital product development to manage Birdbox, a poultry farm management system utilising automated sensors and farmer co-designed software to optimise daily farm management and deliver improved productivity, animal welfare and sustainability in the poultry industry.
The successful applicant will have experience working in the agritechnology sector and will join the team on a permanent basis. The role sits within FAI's Birdbox Product Development team and wll work alongside an existing account management and technical team to help develop and expand sales of FAI's Birdbox poultry farm management system.
We are looking for an adaptable self-starter able to work under their own initiative as part of an expanding and diverse team. You must be a collaborative problem solver with a sound understanding of product development and project management.
The successful candidate should be prepared to work with a range of international clients across different time zones, this may mena working outside of standard hours at certain times.

FAI BirdBox is a poultry farm management tool that utilises automated sensors for real-time insights. The digital ‘flockbook’ and in-shed hardware collate, analyse and report critical flock information to support daily farm management and deliver better productivity, animal welfare and sustainability in the poultry industry.
FAI Insite is an innovative tool that allows food industry actors to efficiently and accurately collect, monitor, and report key food animal welfare and sustainability metrics across global supply chains. Data is analysed by FAI’s team of experts to provide intuitive dashboards and reporting outputs that deliver key, tailored insights, enabling identification of risks and opportunities for strategic action to drive food system improvement.
FAI Academy & Enterprise E-learning is online agri- and aqua-culture learning through a dedicated cloud-based training platform – Enterprise, and an academy website – FAI Academy. We design and host courses that are tailored to specific audiences, meet the needs of diverse learners, are accessible and easy to navigate, and use a variety of assessment techniques per learning objective. Key courses include 1) Regenerative Farming and 2) the welfare of tilapia, carp, and shrimp.

Requirements
Key Skills/Experience
Product management and development experience, ideally in agritechnology sector
Track record of developing products of strategic significance
Budgeting, planning and project management experience
Commercial experience including conducting negotiations, client support and supplier management
Personal Attributes
Tenacious and organised self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of initative
Strong communications skills
Comfortable with working remotely and with colleaues in a variety of international locations
Languages: English required, additional languages would be beneficial
Desirable Qualifications
Background in technology or agriculture/aquaculture and the food supply chain is an advantage
Educated to at least degree level

Position: full time, permanent
Location: Must be UK based with current right to work in the UK. This is a remote, home-based role with travel to client meetings within the UK. Some international travel for client and team meetings may be required.
