Our client is a highly successful healthcare company based in Peterborough is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join their team. It is essential you have experience of working as a engineer in UK hospitals for this role or hold extensive OEM certificates and right to work in the UK.

The purpose of the role is to provide daily on-site medical devices repairs, preventative maintenance and asset management to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within specified hospital location. Build long term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and superior customer service.

Duties will include:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
  • Support the site manager / team leader as required and in achieving contractual KPI's.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
  • Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.
  • Complete associated admin needed to close repairs
  • Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
  • Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary
  • Schedule and complete workload for customers within assigned area

The Person

  • HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
  • Excellent Customer Relationship skills
  • 2 -5 Years in healthcare environment with experience on medical equipment in the UK
  • Worked in clinical environment and involving patient communication
  • Familiar with a broad range of medical devices
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Certified OEM trainings
  • Superior integrity and discretion
