Why usAs a Bioinformatics Scientist 2 you will contribute to supporting bioinformatics activities in cross-functional programs, including:supporting data analysisdeveloping and maintaining automated pipelines and data aggregation toolsdeveloping novel tools for data quality assessmentscollaborating with experimental teamsScope of responsibilities:Participate in R&D projects across multiple sites for the design, development and validation of new sequencing productsSupport the bioinformatics function within a product development teamContribute to the design and development of a standardized automated testing infrastructureAnalyze, integrate, model and interpret experimental dataDevelop, document, and maintain reusable programming codeCommunicate and collaborate in cross-functional multi-site teamsListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Why youIn addition to strong bioinformatics and programming skills, this position requires a high degree of initiative and cross-team collaboration and solid communication skills, alongside the following requirements:Strong programming skills and experience with at least one programming languages, such as Python, R, etc.Experience with data analysis and visualization of next-generation sequencing data and large datasetsFamiliarity with common bioinformatics pipelines and data formatsSolid understanding of statistical and biological conceptsExperience with Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster usage (desirable)Experience in designing or architecting automated workflows (desirable)Familiarity with next-generation sequencing technologies (desirable)Strong communication skillsEducation:Masters/PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent What can you expect
