Role Overview:
As a BIM Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across our large-scale projects. Working alongside a team of skilled consultants, you will be responsible for setting up projects, establishing BIM standards, and ensuring the effective utilisation of BIM technology throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of BIM execution plans for projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to establish clear BIM objectives and workflows.
Provide guidance and support to project teams in the use of BIM software and tools, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
Conduct BIM coordination meetings, clash detection analysis, and model reviews to identify and resolve design conflicts and coordination issues.
Oversee the creation and management of BIM models, datasets, and deliverables in accordance with project milestones and deadlines.
Mentor and train junior staff members on BIM processes, standards, and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in BIM and share insights to drive innovation and improvement within the organisation.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar BIM management role within the AEC industry, preferably within a consultancy environment.
Expertise in setting up BIM projects, establishing standards, and implementing BIM execution plans.
Proficiency in BIM software and tools, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
Relevant qualifications in architecture, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
