BIM Manager - City of London – Up to £70k per annum + Fantastic Benefits



We are currently working with an established building services consultancy who have an enviable reputation for excellence in mechanical and electrical design in the UK and overseas.



In all projects, large or small, they strive to achieve the highest level of design and co-ordination standards from concept through to completion.



Due to continued growth in their workload, they are currently looking for an experienced BIM Manager to join their growing team in Central London, working on a wide variety of projects within the residential, hotels and offices sectors.



This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and credible BIM specialist to join their team, to lead and manage complex BIM projects and produce BIM models and CAD drawings for all stages of design projects.



Requirements and skills




  • Having already been accredited with minimum of a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent) and having proven experience at BIM level 2, you have gained strong practical experience of using Revit in a similar building/MEP-based role.

  • You are adept at planning and organising your workload as well as the workload of the technicians working under you.

  • You will need excellent communication and inter-personal skills, dealing directly with clients as well as sub-contractors and internal staff of all levels. You will require a solid understanding of all BIM practices and documentation such as ISO 19650 and COBie, not just from a delivery perspective but also from a lead role and have the ability to interpret and author all forms of BIM documentation.

  • You must have strong BIM and Digital Engineering software knowledge, not only in Revit but also packages such as BIM 360, Navisworks, Dynamo and the various Microsoft packages for formulating reports etc.

  • You must have sound knowledge of multi-disciplinary services coordination and have proven experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.

  • Good understanding of BIM Level 2, LOD, FM requirements, Asset Information

  • Solid understanding of Cobie, Cobie setup in Revit projects, and delivering Cobie information

  • Knowledge of Project Setup in Revit from start

  • Understanding of Uniclass Implementation in projects and an understanding of NRM1 implementation

  • Excellent knowledge of Clash detection (running, reporting, resolution)

  • Relevant practical experience in a similar role

  • Proven ability to manage a team
