The Company
Our client has worked in partnership with the Ministry of Defence for nearly two decades, providing the support services that enable our Armed Forces to live, work and train on the UK Defence Training Estate.
Their primary responsibility is to provide the support services that enable the Armed Forces to better deploy on frontline operations and return home safely.
They have a team of around 1,300 skilled and experienced employees working across the length and breadth of the UK, in a wide variety of roles.
Currently they have a significant Capital Works Delivery Department so are looking for a capable BIM Manager.

Role Overview
The Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager will be responsible for developing, coordinating and overseeing the implementation and management of BIM processes and standards within the business. The BIM manager will be responsible for developing BIM workflows, ensuring project compliance with BIM standards through development, own the co-ordination of BIM data between teams and functions and ensuring that all data is processed and transmitted accurately. They will be responsible for developing a BIM model for the effective management of built assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring collaboration and data exchange among stakeholders and adherence to the customer's Information Delivery Plan (IDP).

Could this be for you?

  • Experienced in the application of the UK BIM Framework as a minimum (including ISO19650 suite of documents, protocols and standards), development of required documents along with subsequent assurance of responses ensuring data requirements and agreed outcomes are met.
  • Experienced in and strong understanding of using BIM Software such as Autodesk Revit, Asite, AutoCAD
  • Experience of delivering COBie information
  • Experience of working in the construction industry in the field of Design, Construction Management, Facilities Management or Asset management
  • Knowledge of asset management principles, standards and regulations (ISO 55000)
  • Expert understanding and knowledge of information management, and the information lifecycle in the construction or property industry, with extensive practical experience of applying this.

  • Applicable Degree/Professional body accreditation/or suitable experience (e.g. Architecture Degree or Post Graduate; MSc Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and Design; MSc Building Information Modelling (BIM) in Design Construction and Operations; RICS Certificate in BIM; CIBSE Digital Engineering; CIBSE Soft Landings and Government Soft Landings).
