URecruit are working with one of the leading mechanical, electrical, and HVAC engineering and construction company renowned for its exceptional projects across various sectors in Europe.  



They are seeking an experienced BIM Manager preferably from an MEP background but will consider other backgrounds to join them on a project they are apart of in central London which is consisting of 40,000m² of office accommodation, a free public terrace and ground floor retail.



You will be reporting to the Regional BIM Manager and Project Director. As a  BIM Manager you are responsible for the planning, design, delivery of the project. Leadership of the BIM Team and coordinating with engineers, design teams, and third-party contractors.



Knowledge requirments:




  • MEP background is prefered but not essential

  • Detailed knowledge of the Project BIM Manager role

  • Ability to plan and program works effectively.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Excellent IT skills – particularly Revit, Navis Word, Excel, Fabrication MEP

  • Commercial understanding

  • Health, Safety and Environmental systems

  • Knowledge of the teams’ strengths and weaknesses



Roles and responsibilities:




  • Lead the Project BIM coordinators.

  • Liaising and coordinating with the following: Engineers, Design Teams and 3rd party contractors.

  • Working well as part of a team.

  • Working with the BIM Manager to develop the project program and BIM delivery strategy.

  • Manage the workload of project Revit Technicians.

  • Chair Weekly Coordination Meetings and Breakout Workshops with Engineers, Design Teams and 3rd party contractors, compiling minutes and action items from this sessions and follow-up.

  • Implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) standards, and specific plans for each project.

  • Maintain Project BIM Implementation Plan (BIP) and ensure compliance within the team.

  • Support the UK BIM Manager in the development of BIM Standards throughout the business.

  • Manage Master Revit MEP Model.

  • Manage the production of weekly Updates of the Navisworks Model and issue Clash Detection Reports.

  • Manage the production of fully annotated and coordinated 2D Builderworks Drawings (BWIC) and Services Drawings.

  • Regularly track and report project progress to the Project Manager and UK BIM Manager.

  • Manage the close of completed projects with “As Built” drawings and input to Operational & Maintenance File.

  • Assist to ensure all projects are driven to provide the best value solutions and delivered on time and within budget.

  • All other reasonable duties as assigned to you by your manager.
