Job DescriptionBilling & Rates Supervisor – FinanceLaw Firm. Primary responsibilities include:Supervising and taking full responsibility of the Fee Rates Advisors in the below dutiesTaking ownership of the data collection project and ensuring all non-standard charge out rates and discounts are correctly recorded in our systems (Libra) and maintained on an ongoing basis. This includes agreed Fee Arrangements approved by the Fee Committee and LOMP'sTransfer of the existing "Billing Rules" into "Rate Sets" on Libra by following the current system process flow ensuring consistency on how rules are recorded and processed across the groupMaintaining and managing the External Fee Rates process from start to finish, reviewing and implementing improvements of this processOngoing review of the agreed rates in order to ensure that the agreed terms are adhered toCollaboration with the e-billing team and financial controllers to ensure that all clients are billed out at the agreed ratesAdvise the Fee Committee on global discount requests by providing supporting material in order for them to make an informed decision on agreeing/rejecting the proposed discounts globallyEnsure all necessary stakeholders are informed of any new agreed feesSupport Fee Earners in generating new or renewal documents for client discounts via the agreed Fee CommitteeTaking ownership of the Fee Rates review process, identifying improvements, leading on educating the business and holding all accountable for their roles within the processLine management of the team members including objective setting and performance managementWhat You BringIn addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:Strong supervisory and leadership experienceIn depth knowledge of the legal industry and in particular rates and billingAttention to detail in order to manage data accuracyAbility to transform and model data to solve business problems effectivelyStrong communication skills and building rapport with support teams and key stakeholdersAbility to problem solve, find solutions and answersTeamwork with excellent communication skillsAbility to work on own initiative and under pressure, managing expectations and taking ownershipAbility to take on other responsibilities as the role developsCan do attitude and positive approach to workCapable of multitasking and experienced problem solver, able to think laterally about issuesRecognition One and its client are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
