The Role:
As a Bid Writer working as part of the pre-construction team your responsibilities will include:
- The management and production of high-quality bid documents in liaison with internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Planning bids as part of the team and ensuring that they meet agreed quality and timescales and to ensure compliance.
- Identifying opportunities via online client portals and tender notices.
- Analysis and understanding of Tender and PQQ submission questions in order to produce compliant responses, graphics, illustrations, and proposals.
- Undertaking and completing PQQ submissions and technical / compliance information to accompany tender bids and responses to expressions of interest to deadlines.
- Ensuring all bids are accurately completed and represent the company experience and abilities in the best possible way to secure the tender opportunity from the PQQ submission and/or contract when tendering.
- Contributing to the maintenance of the bid library and updating of information.
- Gathering and developing information relating to specific tenders, relative projects and long-term opportunities and obtaining and analysing results of tender submissions.
The Candidate:
A strong candidate will ideally have:
- Embedded experience gained within a contracting organisation or related consultancy.
- Excellent bid writing skills and design capabilities in terms of layout and presentation.
- Formal qualifications and be IT literate.
- An understanding of technical and tender processes.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills and an ability to work within a team to tight deadlines.
- An eye for detail, and a thorough and methodical approach.
