Bid Manager
Central Scotland
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Bid Director, the Bid Manager will work as part of the wider pre-construction team and lead the creation of innovative and effective responses to a wide variety of pre-qualification and tender document submissions. Working from the Glasgow office, Morrison Construction have a dedicated bid team who undertake the bidding processes for projects across a variety of sectors and ranging in value between £1m and £100m. A key part of this role will be supporting and managing our team of bid writers and bid co-ordinators, taking ownership of the delivery of bespoke "win strategies" and managing all aspects of the "end to end" bidding process.
Principal Duties include:
Receive, analyse and disseminate tender documents, including handling clarifications & amendments.
Preparation of bid programmes and deliverables schedules to monitor progress.
Ensuring that that the Bid team adheres to defined governance and bid management processes and adequately hands over successful bids to delivery teams.
Contribute and lead the wider bid team at key stages of individual tender opportunities, gathering technical information from internal departments to compile and ensure a high-quality bespoke solution is offered to the client.
Identifying winning bid themes, strategies and actions.
Implementing our Delivering Excellence culture change programme through the Bid process.
Leading tender launch and finalisation meetings, including content specific workshops and regular progress meetings.
Supporting the development and undertaking the writing of high-quality winning quality deliverables including co-ordinating, proof-reading, and editing written content produced by others.
Taking a lead role in the management of the submission process ensuring that all deliverables are being produced and successfully issued in line with the PQQ / Tender requirements.
Liaison and collaboration with "subject matter" experts to assist the development of focussed and bespoke responses.
Building and developing effective relationships throughout the business and with partners out with i.e. Supply Chain and Design Team Partners.
Oversee and contribute to the production of promotional/marketing materials and award submissions.
Providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
About You:

The flexibility to meet the challenges of fluctuating workloads and multiple assignments with tight deadlines that may require non-standard work hours from time to time.
IT Literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.
You will possess strong organisational and project management skills, an eye for detail and meticulous proof-reading and communication skills both written and verbal. Experience of working in a proposals / work winning environment is essential.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. A team player with a "can do" attitude and ability to think "outside the box". You will also be an ambitious individual who wishes to grow their career in parallel with the continued growth of our business.
