Currently, they are seeking a talented and experienced Bid Manager to join their team.

Role Overview: As a Bid Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing new projects and contracts for our company. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end bid process, from initial client engagement to final submission, ensuring that our bids are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our strategic goals. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management skills, and industry knowledge to deliver winning proposals that drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the bid management process for major construction projects, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, and public sector developments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and subject matter experts, to develop compelling bid strategies and solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive bid reviews, assessing risks, opportunities, and resource requirements to inform decision-making and maximize win potential.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of high-quality bid documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other external partners to enhance our competitive advantage and drive business growth.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to continuously improve our bid processes and maintain our competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in bid management within the construction industry, particularly with Tier 1 contractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple bids concurrently.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of identifying opportunities and developing winning strategies to secure new business.
  • Proficiency in bid management software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant tools.
