This encompasses bid management, team leadership, and client-focused initiatives. Collaborating closely with the Bid Manager for the UK Market, you will strategically deploy bid resources across both the UK and International teams.You will manage, coach, and mentor a team of bid co-ordinators, ensuring they have the right skillset to successfully coordinate bids led by our key UK-based working winning community.As a crucial element of this role, you will take ownership of the entire bid process. Leveraging best practice sources such as APMP, you’ll enhance efficiency and streamline procedures.This is a full-time permanent position, with the flexibility to be based in either our Bath or London office. The role offers a hybrid working schedule, requiring 1 -2 days in the office per week. Occasional travel to the Bath or London office will be necessary as and when required.Type of contract

This is a genuine opportunity to make impact - and leave real legacy. Key duties:Bid / BD ManagementManage the full bid process from end-to-end including informed Bid-No-Bid discussions, structured Bid Strategy and Bid Kick-Off meetings, timely Bid Reviews pre-submission, and Lessons Learnt feedback gathering post-submission.Ensuring all bids follow the Bid-No-Bid process before agreeing to support, providing input and research to support the decision. You will chair the Bid Review Board meeting for international market bids.Prioritising your time on strategic bid pursuits where possible, recognising the impact to the bid spend of having more senior resources working on lower value bids.Establish and develop relationships with equivalent seniority / role(s) at our priority clients.Drive continuous improvement through analysing our win / loss statistics, client feedback, and staying at the forefront of best practice in the industry.Establishing key input from stakeholders during the bid process such as Commercial / Legal, H&S, ESG, Regional counterparts, wider BD, Graphics and Marketing team.Working with the Bid Managers in the team to review and refine our internal processes to ensure bid support is provided as efficiently and streamlined as possible, utilising the latest technology.Team DevelopmentProviding coaching and mentoring support to your direct reports and the junior members of the wider bid team where necessaryRecognising the skillset of the team and utilising that to the advantage of the business, applying the relevant resource to the appropriate bids based on requirements.Assisting with the development of others beyond the bid team, educating technical and non-technical staff on how to manage a bid effectively, guiding them through the process.OperationsAs a CRM champion, ensuring the progress and details of all bids are accurately recorded on the system.Leading bid touchdown meetings to get early insight into potential opportunities and how we can position ourselves.Liaising with project operations and finance teams to ensure accurate fee information is replicated across systems, and any wider business issues such as resource capacity are factored into the Bid-No-Bid review.Your skills and experience:Previous experience in Bid or BD-oriented roles at Senior or Managerial level (including Membership / Certification in APMP (Association for Proposal Management Professionals).AEC industry relevant experience.Excellent copywriting and copy-editing skills.Line management and or mentoring / coaching experience.Excellent computer and IT skills including; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign specifically), Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.What we offer:Bring your knowledge and expertise to one of the world’s most respected consultancies.  Attractive salary and benefits package including, private medical insurance, car allowance, life assurance and income protection.Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum (exclusive of bank holidays) and flexible holiday arrangements.     Generous company pension scheme.Flexible benefits including cycle scheme, dental insurance, optical cover, travel insurance, season ticket loans, and corporate discounts. Enhanced parenthood leave policies. 3pm finish on the last Friday of the month.A strong commitment to your continuous development.
