Diversey are seeking an Account Manager – Beverage, to join the team. This is a sales-oriented role, but it is heavily based on customer support and technical consulting. Sales experience is NOT required, because all of our sales are done through explaining technical advantages, product uses and understanding the customer's applications and needs.
The clients you will consult are mostly long-term existing customers, so this is a great opportunity for someone to move into technical consulting sales. The most important thing we look for is technical or production-related experience in Beverage manufacturing.
Location - Anywhere on the M1 corridor between Derby and London
Type - Remote (3-4 days visiting customers, 1-2 days home office).
The Role
As a Technical Account Manager you advise our existing customers within the Beverage sector about the professional cleaning and hygiene systems and applications of Diversey.
In this role you will offer technical advice for our customers’ cleaning, so that they can get the most out of our products. By creating a close relationship with the customers, you will also ensure the continued cooperation, and also seek further areas in which we can support them.
Typical customers are breweries and producers of bottles water, juices and many other beverages.
In this position you will also be working with colleagues to ensure key customer requirements are understood and matched with the services provided by Diversey.
The clear goal is satisfied customers and sales growth.
The main tasks of the Strategic Account Manager are:
Consistently building long-term relationships with customers and positioning Diversey correctly
Drafting the commercial strategy and translating this into effective year and action plans
Responsible for the roll-out of product introductions and the development of strategic partnerships
Relationship management, with a strong focus on long-term partnerships
Acquisition of new business with existing accounts.
Advising customers and generating custom solutions
QUALIFICATIONS (essential or desirable)
Minimum of 5 years industry related knowledge / experience in processing within the Alcoholic and/or Non-Alcoholic Sectors
Graduate level qualification in a job-related discipline (e.g. Brewing diploma)
Product and customer knowledge in the Alcoholic and/or Non-Alcoholic Sectors
Application knowledge within the Alcoholic and/or Non-Alcoholic Sectors Sector including CIP, OPC, chemical applications and equipment systems
Knowledge and understanding of the concept of “optimization”
Knowledge and understanding of the concept of “value selling”
Valid driving license
Authorization to work in the UK
Fluent English
