For more information, contact ##### . To find your next career move, take a look at all the job posts available below.Work with the Marketing Director in developing department strategies by providing context for current strategies and input on future initiatives as well as by leading on identified projects (listed below or to follow).Manage junior staff and ensure work across list responsibilities and that of the team are appropriately delegated and priorities are clear, activities are effective, and schedules are met.Oversee select special projects.MarketingDevelop title positioning, messaging, and targets with Editorial.Contribute innovative marketing ideas and effective publicity campaigns for key titles.Organize launches and special events and handle related author care.Manage title specific social media marketing plans for key titles.Monitor webpage accuracy.Develop and execute conference planning.Develop and execute promotions including catalogs, social media, enewsletters. Course adoption research focused on new contacts.Monitor top institutions in key subject areas (MA) focused on developing relationships with academics and instructors and understanding trends (especially changes) in the teaching and research at these institutions. GeneralDevelop relationships with academics, librarians and other influencers to promote brand awareness and develop knowledge of the market.Work closely with Sales and Marketing teammates on cross-subject promotions and backlist campaigns.Cooperate with other staff members to ensure good working relations.About YouYou will be an experienced marketer, with an understanding of how to reach and engage with audiences across a range of subject areas. A knowledge of global academic books marketing and the publishing sector would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: Experience in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.Understanding of global books market.Strong relationship-building and team-working skills.Willingness and flexibility to adapt and think creatively to solve problems.Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to independently manage a busy and varied workload.You may, from time to time, be called upon to provide reasonable assistance in any area of the Company's activities as circumstances require.About Our Company Founded in 1994, Berghahn Books is an independent publisher of distinguished scholarly books and journals in the humanities and social sciences.
