Bench Worker/Binder Operative | Stevenage, Hertfordshire – you must live within 30 minutes travelling time to SG1 2XU | Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm | £23,796 to £27,000 per annum based on skill set

Due to an increased workload, our client is seeking a full-time Operative to join their small friendly team.

You will work within the despatch area, sending and receiving goods, as well as assisting the other team members with binding and other general print finishing requirements.

You will bring your excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. Your good attention to detail, accuracy and most importantly sense of humour, especially when working under pressure, will ensure you thrive in this role!

  • Skills within print finishing will be a great benefit but are not essential

What will your role look like?


  • Check and pack books for despatch via courier or pallet services
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
  • Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
  • Correctly label goods and produce accurate delivery notes
  • Arranging for courier collections and deliveries
  • Stock management of packaging
  • Helping the bindery operative
  • Adhering to health and safety standards
