Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant

Location: Stockport
Start Date: ASAP until July
Salary: £90 to £119 per day

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour and Learning Support Assistant for a reputable Secondary School in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students' emotional and educational development in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide targeted support to students with behavioural and learning needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:


  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
