While the main focus of the role will be external, working as part of the commercial insight team agency, you will also have the wider Beano Studios team as an internal client, providing insights to help the Beano brand.BEANO BRAIN uses a range of third-party suppliers to run online surveys but also has its own unique direct to kids omnibus (7-14s in the UK and US). You will be responsible for managing this alongside our quantitative RE.Role Purpose:To support the senior Beano Brain insight team on delivering thought provoking and business transforming insight work for larger clients / global projects.To self-sufficiently manage smaller projects with the support and guidance of senior Beano Brain team membersKey Responsibilities:ADHOC INSIGHT SERVICESTo help design, manage and report quantitative insight projects, working closely with the Quantitative Director and Research Executive, including:Supporting on responding to client briefs, proposal writing and project costing.Supporting on maintaining existing client relationships.Taking the lead on some projects, with advisory support from Directors in the team.Creating survey questionnaires from scratch and proactively suggesting improvements for existing surveys, as and where applicable.Delegating and co-ordinating effectively with other members of the team.Liaising with account managers and project managers from our supplier companies and other research specialists, such as external statisticians.Creating data analysis plans and interpreting the data to find trends and insights towards answering clients’ questions in the brief.Data analysis and report writing (mainly in PowerPoint, but sometimes in Word).Quality checking of output from junior researchers and suppliers,and identifying training needs or process improvements.Able to respond to queries from clients, others members of the team and suppliers and escalate complex project issues to more senior team members as appropriate.Presenting and attending client meetings (kick-off meetings, debriefs etc.) and supporting commercial teams/meetings with research expertise.You will be a key contributor to analysis and output discussions / brainstormsYou will independently write sections of insightful, persuasive and action-inspiring debrief presentations alongside the senior project teamYou will take a lead on writing topline presentations in collaboration with more junior members of the teamYou will help present insights to Beano Brain clients with support from the senior teamMentoring, developing, supporting, and delegating to junior researchers to help the team deliver our clients’ research needs.OMNIBUS PRODUCTWorking closely with the Director of Strategy, Commercial Director, Quantitative Director to roll out the Beano Brain Omnibus Product, helping to create a vision for the product.Dealing with requests, scripting, delivery of data to clients – whilst working with a wider website team to automate as much as possible.Ensuring all questions asked with the Beano brand values and are designed to be child friendly and safeYou will be aware of youth & family trends and actively contribute in sharing your wider knowledge, expertise and areas of interest to the wider team – both within scheduled Beano Brain Knowledge Share sessions and more informallyYou will act as a peer and mentor to more junior members of the team, inspiring and supporting them within projects you work on with them and beyondYou will be an advocate for Beano Brain’s kids and family thought leadership, both within project work and across the wider research industryHelping Beano Brain to continually improve its processes and systems, identifying and suggesting process efficiencies and suggestions for good practice wherever possibleKnowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Interest in and curiosity for youth culture / trends / associated brand worldProject management experience / able to work with field to ensure projects and recruitment run smoothlySound understanding and application of quantitative research methods and techniquesAble to interpret quantitative resultsStrong analytical skills and experience contributing to analysis sessionsUnderstanding of advance analytics like Conjoint, Max Diff, Driver analysis, Segmentations. Prior experience desirable but not essentialExperience of ad-hoc quantitative research and trackersExperience of large-scale multi-market online surveys including non-English speaking marketsExcellent lateral thinking skills, in particular an ability to look beyond theobviousAbility to write questionnaires with little support neededAble to write sections of debriefs / output with guidance from seniorsExperience in contributing to the costing of projects including writing requests for quotes to suppliers and putting together draft costsStrong communication skills with different levels within the business/external suppliersHighly proficient in PPT / WordStrong attention to detailAbility to take initiative and understand how and when to escalate issues to more senior colleaguesEducated to degree level (preferable but not essential)Experience of research with kids and teensExperience working on multi-market projects, especially the USExperience working on mixed quant/ qual projectsMRS Advanced CertificateExperience using Q or other statistics softwareBeano Brain welcomes applications from everyone who make up our diverse society to make sure we and our clients are best placed to create the amazing stuff for kids, their friends, and their families.
