Battery Storage Pre-Construction Development Manager

Net Zero People have partnered with one of the UK's leading Renewable Asset Management companies who have over�1GW of installed battery energy storage capacity in management. As such�we are looking for a Battery Pre-Construction Development Manager.

The role will be hybrid and based in central London 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will have BESS and/or Solar�experience.

The duties will be:

• Programme management portfolio of utility scale battery storage Planning and Grid applications in England, Scotland and Wales


• Lifecycle management & leadership: from budget DNO Apps & NGESO Connection Strategy transmission negotiations


• Tendering, instructing and managing PV & grid connection designs, Planning & technical consultants, ECPs, ICPs, lawyers, counsel, corporate finance


• Negotiating with Planning Policy


• Securing Planning & Grid consent.


• Negotiations with landowners and their property, finance and legal agents for PV and BESS schemes, including HoT, exclusivity and option & lease negotiations


• Programme schedule, cost and quality updates to Monthly Investment Board.

Skills and Experience

• In depth knowledge of Battery and/or Solar�construction and/or design


• Construction project management or design project management expertise


• Understanding of construction contracts and contractual obligations


• Strong understanding of risk management


• Strong understanding of HSE


• Strong time management skills
