We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Battery Energy Storage System Technician to join a growing team!

As a Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician, you will play a key part of the team and be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting BESS across various sites in the UK and Ireland.

Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain energy storage systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system issues as required.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on energy storage systems and ancillary facilities.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and local team.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Compile maintenance reports and checklists.
  • Manage SCADA systems for data monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize schematics and manuals for facility inspections.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards
  • Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks in the environment and provides recommendations to higher level technical staff and management.
  • Manage field teams and review technician reports.
  • Monitor BESS project performance.
  • Maintain mobility and flexibility for project attendance.

Battery Energy Storage Systems Technician Requirements:

  • Background in electrical, electronic, renewables energies, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in inverter technology.
  • Previous experience in technical support, desktop support, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
  • Attentiveness to detail and adept problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Robust technical expertise with a deep understanding of energy storage systems and their components.
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast pace work environment.
  • Possession of a valid clean driving license and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland
