The EPR and Education teams are excited to announce a fixed term or secondment opportunity as the EPR Training Project Support Officer. We are committed to developing, investing in and deploying an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution for Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, and are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team, providing a comprehensive administrative and project support function within the EPR Training team. To make implementation and adoption of our new EPR a success, it is vital that our staff are fully trained and confident in using the new systems, and the role of the EPR Training Project Support Officer is key to this success. The role is responsible for co-ordinating all administrative aspects of the provision of EPR training, including scheduling, communications and logistics management, to enable successful implementation and adoption of the Trust EPR. The role also offers opportunities for line management as the team grows. We are looking for an individual with experience within the training sector and of project support activities, and in particular with strong organisation skills. The role may also include occasional weekend and evening working, providing flexibility for our staff to train. We would welcome informal enquiries about the role in advance.Main duties of the jobThe primary role is pivotal in supporting the administrative facets of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Training Team within the Trust, playing a critical role across the EPR Programme. This role is not only foundational in managing the backbone of the training programmes administrative tasks but also enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the training delivery. Key responsibilities include offering comprehensive support across all programme aspects as guided by the EPR Training Manager, which encompasses a variety of administrative duties. The incumbent is entrusted with the management of EPR Training Admin Support, coordinating the administrative elements of the EPR training programme, and ensuring logistical arrangements for training sessions are seamlessly executed. As the foremost contact point for training-related queries from both staff and trainers, this role demands a proactive approach to facilitating communication among the training team, various departments, and participants, thereby ensuring streamlined coordination. Part of the responsibilities also includes preparing and circulating reports detailing training progress, attendance, and evaluation outcomes, alongside providing essential support during training sessions. This support ranges from managing sign-ins, distributing training materials, to assisting with the setup of training rooms.About usWe provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. The Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital is one of eight to be accredited as part of a national scheme the Care Quality Commission has raised the ratings for urgent and emergency care at Queen's and King George hospitals and data released by NHS England showed that the Trust was the most improved in 2023 for reducing waits for emergency care. We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre Radiotherapy Centre Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project) and E mail / Internet. High level of interpersonal skills, including active listening and understanding. Develop/design protocols and able to analyse, interpret complex data in a variety of different styles.
Desirable
Ability to use LMS platforms and online tools to schedule training for staff and manage room bookings.
Experience/ KnowledgeEssential
Experience of balancing a varied workload and changing priorities. Knowledge and practical experience of working within education, training and learning.
