Band 2 - Cleaner

Manpower is recruiting a cleaner on behalf of our public sector client the NHS.

Location: Bridgend

Job Type: Part time
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shifts are 9.00 am - 2.00 pm & 1.30 pm - 6.30 pm - working 2 out of 3 weekends

Hourly rate:
Weekdays - �11.45
Saturdays and night - �16.14
Sunday and bank holidays - �20.95

Start date: Immediate subject to satisfactory written references.

The role
As a NHS cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Your main responsibilities will include

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning all areas of the hospital, bathrooms, toilets, wards, corridors, restrooms
• Provide a cleaning service in accordance with set standards, adhering to colour code policies and ensuring all procedures are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH
• Using electrical and manual equipment provided to clean and maintain floors, surfaces, walkways, ledges, fixtures, and fittings.
• To replenish soap, alcohol gel and all consumable products
• Remove all hazardous, non-hazardous, and recyclable waste from the ward to the waste room (waste management).
• Understand hygiene standards and infection control requirements

Requirements:

• Preferably has cleaning experience or a willingness to learn
• Must be flexible with hours
• Has a positive attitude and a friendly, caring demeanour
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is conscientiousness and has a strong work ethic
