We currently have an opening for a Business Advisory Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join our Business Advisory team.THE ROLEBusiness Advisory Tax Manager/Senior Manager - LeedsWe have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join our team. The role includes both compliance and advisory work on a portfolio of clients for which you will be responsible, therefore you must have considerable Corporate and Personal tax experience as well as actively manage and control the delivery of all aspects your client portfolio.Purpose of the role/key responsibilities:Annual tax return compliance for companies, individuals and partnershipsTax efficient remuneration planningCorporate tax planningSuccession planningCGT adviceBenefits in kind adviceDisplaying detailed knowledge of Income Taxes and Capital Taxes generally with the ability to identify other taxes which might be relevant (for example VAT, International Taxes, LBTT, Stamp Duty Taxes) and obtaining input from colleagues outside of the Business Advisory Services team to deliver well-rounded advice to clientsDelegate work effectively to team members and monitor progress of their workReview all aspects of accounting work, at both manager and partner level, identifying opportunities for clientsWorking with others in both the Business Advisory Services team & the Private Client management team to manage the annual compliance function for circa 1,800 clients, and co-ordinating this operation across the firmBeing responsible for preparing proposal documents for new clients including quoting for new work followed by onboarding these new clients according to the firm's processesManaging all aspects of your client portfolio, working alongside other teams in the firm as well as the client's wider professional networks to ensure all client service requirements are metTaking responsibility for delivery of blogs and technical articles and presentations relevant to your technical expertiseExperience and skill set required for the role:Relevant professional tax qualification (e.g. CA, ATT or CTA)Previous experience of working in a similar roleExperience of managing a teamExpertise in compliance and advisory workExperience of working to tight deadlinesTrack record of handling a client portfolio with strong client engagementUse of Alphatax and CCHTHE BENEFITSOver the years, AAB has been recognised for its excellent working practices by some of the most prestigious award bodies in the UK.
