Creativity and initiative are encouraged to support your career development.We’re doing things differently.If this sounds like you, let’s talk.The role:The DevOps Engineer helps developers with code while also understanding engineering best practices like operating system design or database management systems software installation processes, ensure that everything runs smoothly before releasing code onto production servers.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructureDesign, develop and manage CI/CD process for different types of application and automate as many processes as possibleManage the full release processLead team both technically and on daily activities and agile processesElaborate and estimate stories, and plan the team’s workARM templates writing, setup automation for resources provisioning (Azure PowerShell)A second tool for Azure resource provisioning or configuration management (eg Terraform, Ansible, Chef etc)Understanding of load balancers, DNS, virtual networks and firewalls in cloud environmentSetup monitoring (performance metrics, OMS)Automated build and release pipelinesUnit, integration and functional tests integrated into pipelinePowerShell scripting for custom tasks automationIdentifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedDeep understanding of git usage and different branching strategiesAble to lead a team in Agile delivery model (eg Scrum or Kanban) including acting as scrum master or similarPerform root cause analysis for production errorsInvestigate and resolve technical issuesDevelop scripts to automate visualizationDesign procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceRequirementsQualificationsA qualification in computer science with a focus on software development or a bachelor’s degree majoring in Software DevelopmentA good understanding of integration patternsA high proficiency with data modelling - bottom up and top down, the whole lifecycle of dataTechnicalProficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, Yaml, PowerShell, Azure DevOpsStrong organisational and project management skillsExcellent documentation skills including High Level and Technical Specifications, User Guides etc.Ability to unpack complex requirements, to uphold security of sensitive data and to conform to best practicesA qualification in computer science with a focus on software development or a bachelor’s degree majoring in Software DevelopmentA good understanding of integration patternsA high proficiency with data modelling - bottom up and top down, the whole lifecycle of dataBehaviouralGood problem-solving skillsAbility to build and maintain working relationships with othersA collaborative, adaptable, user-cantered approachGood time management adopting a flexible approach to workDemonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives.
