The role: Aviation Security Policy & Regulations Manager What you’ll do: Responsible to Senior Aviation Security Policy Manager for supporting the development of a risk-based and regulatory compliant Aviation Security Program (ASP), providing specialist advice and guidance to key operational areas and managing the policy interaction on security issues with key regulatory, government and industry bodies to protect and advance BA’s operational and strategic interests. What you’ll bring to British Airways:
Ability to work in a cross-functional team, representing the Head of Aviation & Operational Security and Senior Aviation Security Policy Manager. Intellectually agile to understand complex Aviation Security regulations and apply to the BA operation Ability to critically analyse complex problems and create innovative solutions Ability to explain issues simply, build credibility and sustain relationships. Innovative and agile thinking with capability to make time critical decisions. Strong influencer and collaborator, capable of driving key decisions. High resilience and able to manage conflict Confident decision maker, using initiative and a creative approach to problem solving. Able to understand how each part of the business interacts and able to find solutions. Ability to tailor effective communications to suit a wide range of audiences. Good judgement and decision-making managing multiple competing priorities, under pressure, operating independently. Tenacious with good analytical and problem-solving ability to deliver practical solutions. Demonstrated ability to influence and build instrumental relationships with stakeholders. Innovative and creative problem solver.
Your experience:
A track record of relationship building and ability to influence stakeholders across a diverse range of cultures. The role holder must be able to obtain a UK National Security Vetting & DfT AvSec Managers qualification Technical expertise in Aviation Security is desirable Operational experience in cross functional working environments
