VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Our client is a leading automotive dealership, working with leading brands across the western London/Home counties area. The company has grown substantially and has ambitious plans for continued expansion.
We have some exceptional opportunities for experienced technicians looking for a new challenge.
We are specifically looking for technicians with a “can do” attitude, proactive and willing to learn.
Key elements of the position include:
Preparation of vehicles for sale, including testing of brakes, steering, tyres, oil and other fluids checks
Provide a comprehensive check-up of the vehicle’s major components
Carefully assess vehicles with the aid of various diagnostic tools, interpret results, and troubleshoot errors
Report on all additional issues as they are identified
Complete all administrative procedures as necessary
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
Undertake vehicle road tests when necessary
Assist with development and training of other technicians
Attend meetings and training programmes as required
Perform other duties in support of other team members as required
More about this role:
Full time normal working hours
Full time Monday to Friday normal working hours.
OR
Shift patterns, consisting of essentially 2 shifts:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 6.00am until 7.30pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 6.00am until 7.30pm
1 hour lunch included on both shifts
Shifts reverse every 4 weeks
Requirements:
You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician
Experience of working on commercial vehicles
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
Reliable with a positive “can-do” attitude, and great communication skills
Willingness to learn and great communication skills
Salary and Benefits:
Full time normal working hours
Salary for this role includes an excellent basic salary, plus bonus for efficiencies achieved.
Shift Patterns
Excellent basic salary, plus shift bonus, plus efficiencies bonus. This is an excellent opportunity to work 3 days a week whilst also earning excellent income.
