Are you a Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician / Diagnostics Technician looking for a role away from the workshop but still utilise your skills and experience, but working in an office environment or even based at home?

Do you have experience of Mercedes vehicles? Could you assist other technicians in developing their skills through using your knowledge of Mercedes vehicles to give technical support and coaching?

Our client is a market leading provider of diagnostics, programming, and live repair guidance, they are seeking an experienced automotive technician, trained to Level 3 ATA in light vehicle repair or above to provide technical support via telephone and email to customers.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience of Mercedes vehicles.

Remote working - ideal locations - Oxford, Wheately, Northampton, Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry, Derby, Worcester, Cambridge, Stafford, Wolverhampton, Warwick, Gloucester, Milton Keynes

Salary circa £40k + enhanced pension + life assurance + private medical + 25 days holiday + Monday to Friday working (NO WEEKENDS)

The Candidate / Role

• You will be an experienced, qualified Vehicle Technician, ideally worked on Mercedes branded cars.
• Your qualifications should include Automotive Technician, Level 3 ATA, NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds.
• Mercedes specific training is advantageous.
• Experienced and skilled in Automotive Diagnostic / ADAS.
• The ability to evaluate information and diagnose technical problems effectively.
• A strong knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• A problem-solver with the ability to think on your feet, offering advice on repairing a vehicle remotely.
• Provide technical support to garages and workshops via telephone and through electronic methods.
• Assist customers by supplying information, instruction, advice, and support, this could be in relation to diagnostic equipment or the diagnosis, repair, or maintenance of cars.
• Liaise with engineering colleagues to assist in the development of software, data and hardware products.
• Prepare and deliver training to customers and colleagues.
