Are you an Automotive Interiors Engineer looking to join a leading Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have a passion for future vehicle development?
If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest automotive Manufacturer's is currently recruiting for an Interiors Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. Based in Sunderland, you will be working within a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Engineers on a contract basis.
Responsibilities of the Automotive Interiors Engineer include:
* Seat Design and development at part / module level
* Responsible for life cycle management
* Lead the industrialisation activities of new Seating systems into the Manufacturing Plant
* Supplier management
* Managing and reporting test validation, cost performance and part quality / reliability
* Competitor benchmarking and trend research / analysis
Background and Experience required for the Automotive Interiors Engineer position:
* Ideally degree educated in a relevant design / engineering qualification
* Previous automotive development experience
* Knowledge of seating / interior cabin parts / modules
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Good understanding of CAD interrogation
* Cost analysis skills related to automotive interior / seat parts
* Proficient in Microsoft office skills
You will hold a valid driving licence and have the capability to travel globally.
