Automation Engineer in Leeds
to work for our client within the Public Sector.
We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of an automation framework from the ground up, covering both Front End and Back End systems. This pivotal role involves conducting automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software produced by our development team. Collaboration within cross-functional teams alongside software developers and project teams is essential, contributing to the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, automated tests, and reports on both functional and non-functional requirements in a dynamic agile environment.
Responsibilities of the role:
Define and create a robust automation test framework tailored to the systems and applications under consideration
Develop and execute automated test cases in alignment with specified requirements, focusing on risk mitigation
Compile comprehensive bug reports and provide constructive feedback to software development teams
Formulate tests aimed at risk mitigation
Analyse, define and build an automation framework from scratch
Adhere to project deadlines and departmental standards
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, conveying findings and insights clearly
Foster strong relationships with third-party suppliers, particularly in cases where testing spans multiple parties
Key requirements for the role:
Experience with BDD Technology such as Behave or Cucumber
Proficient in Python
Demonstrable experience in API testing. Database testing, Selenium WebDriver, SQL and other Data technologies
Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Performance testing
Experience with Azure DevOps
ISTQB tester accredited
Agile and Waterfall deliveries
Azure Load Test experience is desirable
