Automation Business Development Manager

We are at the forefront of the warehouse industry and growing our Automation Team. We are on the lookout for an experienced Automation Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in opening doors for new sales opportunities and contributing to the growth of this dynamic aspect of our business.
Objectives
Represent our Company with an in-depth knowledge of our automation offerings.
Identify and open doors for new business opportunities.
Develop and execute a robust sales strategy to achieve predetermined annual sales targets.
Successfully communicate return on investment opportunities with prospective clients.
Work closely on new and existing opportunities with the Solutions Team.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and continually improve a scalable Automation Sales Strategy.
Develop leads and enquiries to optimise a variety of automation systems.
Collaborate with the Solution Team to conceptualise and present industry-leading solutions.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while establishing connections with new clients to understand their needs.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
Successfully present how the use of automation prepares them for the future transition from humans to robots.
Lead project tendering processes and support the project teams.
Be accountable for achieving an annual target.
Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the role.
Conduct regular competitor and target client analysis.
Working in a small team including the Automated Solutions Manager and Group MD.
Required Skills and Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in Automated Solution Sales.
Hunter approach to sales generating predominately new business.
Proven success in the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
Experience working with targets and KPIs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Inquisitive persona to explore emerging innovation and technology.
Superb leadership and project management abilities.
Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers.
Ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
Strong understanding of the automated warehouse sector, operations, and supply chain management.
Experience of having consultative sales conversations with clients regarding the value automation/ robotics can have in terms of cost savings and the efficiency benefits.
Proficient in CRM software. (HubSpot or similar)
