As part of our team at Heathrow Airport, we are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join us.



Position Overview:



As an Auto Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems on a variety of airport vehicles and plant equipment. Based at Heathrow Airport, you will work on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, from 6:00 am to 18:00, with day shifts only.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conducting electrical diagnostics, repairs, and installations on airport vehicles and plant equipment.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Inspecting and testing electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Collaborating with mechanical technicians to address combined electrical-mechanical issues.

  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability.

  • Documenting work performed and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.



Requirements:




  • Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are highly desirable.

  • Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably in the automotive or aviation industry.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and diagnostic tools.

  • Mechanical experience and the ability to work on combined electrical-mechanical systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Flexible to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 6:00 am to 18:00.
